Beyond Google – Searching for the Evidence
Session duration: 1 hour 
Learn about ‘Levels of Evidence’, high quality evidence such as systematic reviews and the concept of ‘Best Evidence’. Practice searching through online resources to quickly identify high quality resources, including guidelines and evidence summaries usable both in personal research and clinical work. You will be provided with an iPad or laptop for the duration of the training; however, if you feel more comfortable with your own device you are welcome to bring it. 

Light lunch provided

1. Understand the concept of 'evidence-based practice'
2. Become familiar with the evidence pyramid & the different types of evidence
3. Learn to formulate useful research questions
4. Practice using NHS Evidence and BMJ Best Practice
