How to Read Qualitative Research

Critically read research papers in order to evaluate and understand the qualitative evidence

* Critically appraising qualitative research
* Defining the different types of qualitative research design.
* Defining internal and external validity, generalisability and applicability in 
qualitative research. 
* Explaining key areas for potential bias in qualitative research methods 
*Outlining the ways in which these can be minimised.

Application of the knowledge and skills acquired on our courses help staff to meet the following 
KSF dimensions: HWB1 (levels 1,2,3), HWB4 (levels 2,3,4), HWB5 (levels 2,3,4),
