In this session you will learn how to reference your written work. This includes: Plagiarism Difference between referencing styles How to reference particular resources e.g. book, journal article

• Be able to define plagiarism • Be able to recognise acts of plagiarism • Know how it can be detected • Be aware of the consequences of plagiarism • Why you need to reference • Have seen examples of referencing and bibliographies/reference lists • Have learnt about direct quotations and paraphrasing • Know how to reference a book, journal article and a website
